What Is QuizTime?

QuizTime is an AI-powered study application that turns your notes, textbook passages, PDFs, and web articles into personalized quizzes. Paste in your study material, and the AI generates tailored questions — complete with detailed explanations — so you can actively test your knowledge instead of passively rereading your notes.

You can study solo at your own pace, or challenge friends in real-time multiplayer games where everyone answers the same questions head-to-head.

Whether you're prepping for an exam, reinforcing key concepts, or competing with classmates to see who knows the material best, QuizTime adapts to what you're studying and gives you instant feedback on what you know and where you need more practice.

Creating Your Account

Getting started takes less than a minute:

  1. Visit getquiztime.com and click Sign In or Get Started Free.
  2. Choose your preferred sign-in method — you can use an email and password, or sign in with a supported social provider.
  3. After your first sign-in, you'll be asked to enter your date of birth. This is a one-time step that determines your account type (Child, Teen, or Adult) and ensures we provide the right experience for your age group.
  4. If you're under 13, a parent or guardian will need to create a Family team and invite you to join before you can access the app. See the Teams section below.
  5. Once verified, you'll land on your Dashboard — the home base where you'll create topics, launch quizzes, manage teams, and track your progress.

Your Dashboard at a Glance

The Dashboard is your central hub in QuizTime. Here's what you'll find:

At the top — your stats at a glance. Four summary cards show your total completed quizzes, overall average score, how many quizzes you've taken this week, and whether your scores are trending upward or need attention.

Two tabs — Your Topics and Your Teams. Switch between them to manage your study content or your teams.

  • Your Topics — Each topic you create appears as a card showing its name, category, a preview of your study material, and a history of any quizzes you've generated. From any topic card you can add material, generate a solo quiz, start a multiplayer game, or pick up where you left off on an existing quiz.
  • Your Teams — View all the family and classroom teams you belong to, see your role in each, and create new teams if you're an adult.

Below the stats — your performance insights. Once you've completed enough quizzes, you'll see a performance trend chart plotting your last 10 scores, plus a "Weak Topics" section that flags any topic where your accuracy has dipped below 70%.

Teams

Teams let you organize people into groups — either Family teams for parents and children, or Classroom teams for teachers and students. Adults (18+) can create teams and invite members using shareable invite codes.

Family teams serve an important role: when a child under 13 joins a family team, they receive parental consent to use QuizTime, in compliance with COPPA (the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act).

To create a team:

  1. Click the Your Teams tab on the Dashboard, or use the teams icon in the header.
  2. Click Create Team and choose a name and type (Family or Classroom).
  3. Open the team and click Invite Members to generate a shareable invite code.
  4. Share the code or link with the people you want to invite.
