Welcome to QuizTime! This guide walks you through every key feature so you can get the most out of your study sessions.

Your AI-Powered Study Companion

QuizTime transforms your notes, articles, and documents into personalized quizzes powered by AI. Instead of passively rereading material, you actively test your knowledge and get instant feedback on what you know and where you need more practice.

Age Verification

When you first sign in, QuizTime asks for your date of birth. This one-time step determines your account type:

Adult (18+) — Full access to all features, including creating and managing teams.
Teen (13-17) — Full access to study features.
Child (under 13) — Requires a parent or guardian to create a Family team and invite you before you can use the app. This ensures COPPA compliance.

You can update your date of birth later from your Profile page.

Creating Topics

Topics are the foundation of your study library. To create one:

Click the New Topic button on your Dashboard.
Give your topic a name and optional category.
Add your study material — you can paste text directly, import content from a URL, or upload a PDF document.
QuizTime stores and organizes your material so you can generate quizzes from it at any time.

You can create as many topics as you need and revisit them whenever you want to study.

Generating Quizzes

Once you have a topic with study material, generating a quiz takes just a few clicks:

Open any topic from your Dashboard.
Click Generate Quiz and configure your preferences — choose the number of questions and difficulty level.
The AI analyzes your material and creates tailored questions with multiple-choice answers and detailed explanations.
Answer each question and get immediate feedback showing whether you were correct and why.

Every quiz is unique, so you can generate multiple quizzes from the same material to reinforce your learning.

Tracking Your Progress

QuizTime keeps track of every quiz you complete so you can monitor your improvement over time:

Dashboard Stats show your total quizzes completed, overall average score, weekly activity, and score trends.
Performance Charts plot your recent scores so you can see whether you're improving.
Weak Topics flags any topic where your accuracy has dropped below 70%, helping you focus your study time where it matters most.

Playing Multiplayer

Challenge your friends and classmates to real-time quiz battles:

Click Start Multiplayer on any topic to create a game lobby.
Share the join code with your friends — they can enter it on the Join page.
Once everyone has joined, start the game and compete head-to-head answering the same questions.
See the live leaderboard and find out who knows the material best.

Multiplayer games are a fun way to study together and add a competitive edge to your learning.

Teams

Teams let you organize people into groups for studying together:

Family teams — Created by a parent or guardian. When a child under 13 joins a family team, they receive parental consent to use QuizTime.
Classroom teams — Created by a teacher to organize students.

To manage teams, click the Your Teams tab on the Dashboard. Adults can create new teams, generate invite codes, and manage members. Click any team card to see its members, invites, and settings.
